Nigel Sonariwo, MBA

Nigel Sonariwo is an accomplished consumer marketing and new business development strategist with over 20 years of experience in international marketing, business strategy, public relations and leadership training.

As a former US based corporate marketing executive, Nigel has worked on a variety of strategic and innovative new business initiatives with a number of American Fortune 1000 companies.

Nigel began his marketing career learning how to strategically acquire new high speed internet, telephone and digital cable customers, and physically installing cable television and broadband equipment from the ground up.

During his very successful 18 year marketing career in corporate America he rose through the ranks to the position of Vice President of Marketing at four cable and telecom corporations, where he was responsible for local, regional, national and multinational strategic marketing initiatives. He transitioned to the media content side of the business working with well-known cable TV networks such as, Hallmark Channel, Starz Entertainment, AZN Television, International Channel, HSN and Time Life.  Most recently he led US based marketing outreach efforts for the US Healthcare insurance initiative known as “Obamacare”, targeting African American and Hispanic customers in Denver, Colorado.

Nigel has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the State University of New York and an MBA from Howard University in Washington DC.  He is a fellow of the Walter Kaitz Foundation (class of 1996) and a graduate of the US Cable and Telecommunications Association (CTAM-U’s) Harvard University, Executive Leadership Program (Class of 2004) and; he is a former Denver Chapter President of the National Association of Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC).  In 2007 and again in 2008 Nigel was voted one of the top 100 emerging minority leaders in the cable telecommunications industry by Cable World Magazine.

Nigel has also written and published several articles on target marketing and new business development in Africa.
